About us

Deepak Foundation, a Corporate Social Responsibility of Deepak Group, was initiated in 1982 with a vision of providing healthcare facilities to the families of workers and local communities residing in the industrial area of Nandesari. The Foundation has progressed over the period into a leading non-profit civil society in Gujarat and has expanded its services nationwide with branche offices in Pune, Roha and Taloja in Maharashtra, Hyderabad in Telengana, Indore in Madhya Pradesh and New Delhi.

Creating a socially inclusive and sustainable environment among the underprivileged communities by providing health care, education, capacity building and livelihood opportunities. We envisage a world free of distress, disease, deprivation, exploitation and subjugation, ensuring the overall well being of the family, society and community. The overall goal of Foundation is to empower women by providing healthcare and livelihood opportunities in order to improve maternal and child health, reduce poverty and build capacity in the areas of public health and livelihood promotion.

Our interventions

The organization is driven with an overall objective to build capacities of grassroots health functionaries and establish effective public health systems through research and surveillance thereby, focusing its efforts on key main areas of intervention including healthcare delivery, building livelihood opportunities and promoting education.

The Foundation has been actively involved in strengthening and improving the healthcare services in urban, rural and tribal areas for over three decades.

Deepak Foundation implements projects aiming towards creating sustainable livelihood opportunities so as to increase the economic independence


Skills and capacity building



Deepak Foundation inked a MoU with the Department of Health and Family Welfare to impart skills training to grassroots health functionaries and build their capacities.





Pre-school education forms the base for primary education and the first 3 to 6 years of a child’s life is globally acknowledged to be the most critical years of lifelong development


Children with special needs



Since 2017, Deepak Foundation has been active in serving children with special needs and disabilities.

Deepak Foundation celebrated International Women’s Day at different locations

In the spirit of womanhood, Deepak Foundation celebrated International Women’s Day, 2018 at various locations. The celebration was inspired by United Nations’ theme #PressForProgress. The Deepak Foundation team encouraged women to follow the path of excellence and thereby be an inspiration for other women.

Award felicitation ceremony hosted by Deepak Foundation

Deepak Foundation held an award felicitation ceremony on March 22, 2018, to acknowledge the contribution of employees. The employees were recognized for their productivity, liaison and communication skills, quality gains, and excellent performance.

Deepak Foundation conferred with NGO leadership Award

On September 27, 2018 , Deepak Foundation was bestowed with NGO Leadership Award at Gujarat Brand Leadership Awards 2018 for its valuable contribution towards the upliftment of society. The award was conferred in presence of Dr R.L. Bhatia, Founder of World CSR Day & World Sustainability at Radison Blu Hotel, Ahmedabad. The award ceremony witnessed the presence of various renowned corporates, educationalists, and NGOs.

State Consultation for Stakeholders in Gujarat

Gujarat State Child Protection Society (GSCPS) along with Udayan Care, New Delhi and UNICEF is undertaking a Documentation Study on “Documenting Current Aftercare Practices (CAP)” in Gujarat with Deepak Foundation being the state study partner. This study was launched on 4th and 5th December 2018 in Vadodara, Gujarat. The consultative process with various stakeholders involving DCPUs, CWC, various CCIs and after care youths helped in evolving recommendations for a strengthened Aftercare system that supports care leavers in the State. The consultation also aimed to capture best practices and challenges to improve the current Aftercare practice in the State.

Blood Donation Camp

Deepak Foundation organized a blood donation camp for the employees of the organization on June 14, Friday, observed as the World Blood Donor Day. A team from Blood bank, Shri Sir Sayaji General Hospital (SSG) collected the blood units which will further be used as and when required.

Chess Tournament

Over 120 visually impaired children from across Gujarat to participate in state level chess championship, hosted by Samaj Suraksha Sankul in association with Gujarat Chess Association. This was for the second consecutive time, that Sankul hosted the tournament at its premises.

Foster Care

Samaj Suraksha Sankul placed a Children Home for Boys (CHB) child in a foster care family yesterday on June 14, 2019. It is first time in Gujarat that an institute has completed the process for foster care facility and succeeded in it.

World Environment Day Celebration

Deepak Foundation celebrated World Environment Day by planting trees in the campus under the guidance of Director Ms Archana Joshi.

International Yoga Day

Deepak Foundation celebrated International Yoga Day under the Ministry of AYUSH’s CYP program. Staff members across all Deepak Foundation branches including Nandesari, Telangana, Maharashtra and Jharkhand participated in the event enthusiastically.
