About us

Deepak Foundation, a Corporate Social Responsibility of Deepak Group, was initiated in 1982 with a vision of providing healthcare facilities to the families of workers and local communities residing in the industrial area of Nandesari. The Foundation has progressed over the period into a leading non-profit civil society in Gujarat and has expanded its services nationwide with branche offices in Pune, Roha and Taloja in Maharashtra, Hyderabad in Telengana, Indore in Madhya Pradesh and New Delhi.

Creating a socially inclusive and sustainable environment among the underprivileged communities by providing health care, education, capacity building and livelihood opportunities. We envisage a world free of distress, disease, deprivation, exploitation and subjugation, ensuring the overall well being of the family, society and community. The overall goal of Foundation is to empower women by providing healthcare and livelihood opportunities in order to improve maternal and child health, reduce poverty and build capacity in the areas of public health and livelihood promotion.

Our interventions

The organization is driven with an overall objective to build capacities of grassroots health functionaries and establish effective public health systems through research and surveillance thereby, focusing its efforts on key main areas of intervention including healthcare delivery, building livelihood opportunities and promoting education.

The Foundation has been actively involved in strengthening and improving the healthcare services in urban, rural and tribal areas for over three decades.

Deepak Foundation implements projects aiming towards creating sustainable livelihood opportunities so as to increase the economic independence


Skills and capacity building



Deepak Foundation inked a MoU with the Department of Health and Family Welfare to impart skills training to grassroots health functionaries and build their capacities.





Pre-school education forms the base for primary education and the first 3 to 6 years of a child’s life is globally acknowledged to be the most critical years of lifelong development

Since 2017, Deepak Foundation has been active in serving children with special needs and disabilities.

Exposure visit of IAS officers to Deepak Foundation

A group of eighteen IAS officer trainees from 2017 batch visited Deepak Foundation as a part of their winter study tour on January 2, 2018. Visits to field sites were organized to share the Foundation’s diverse developmental activities, best practices, and administrative structures.

Sankul team won the cricket match organized by Don Bosco Snehalaya

Don Bosco Snehalaya organized a cricket match for child care institute on January 2, 2018. Sankul super king, a cricket team of Samaj Suraksha Sankul also participated in the match. Sankul super king gave a tough fight to the seven participating teams of Vadodara and won the finals by defeating Don Bosco team. The students were presented with a trophy for winning the finals.

‘Run for Health’ organized in Koliad and Vengani village of Bharuch district

On Republic Day, a health marathon was organized in the intervention villages of Bharuch Nutrition Intervention project co-funded by Gujarat State Financial Services, Gujarat CSR Authority, and Deepak Nitrite Ltd. Run for health aimed at strengthening community participation and spreading awareness on healthy practices.

Valedictory ceremony held for students of Home Health Aide course at Hyderabad

A valedictory ceremony for the students of Home Health Aide (HHA) course was organized on February 5, 2018 in Hyderabad. The course, affiliated with Healthcare Sector Skills Council aims at empowering rural and urban youth. HHA trains the youth with essential nursing skills and thus widening the scope of employment opportunities.

Deepak Foundation celebrated International Women’s Day at different locations

In the spirit of womanhood, Deepak Foundation celebrated International Women’s Day, 2018 at various locations. The celebration was inspired by United Nations’ theme #PressForProgress. The Deepak Foundation team encouraged women to follow the path of excellence and thereby be an inspiration for other women.

Award felicitation ceremony hosted by Deepak Foundation

Deepak Foundation held an award felicitation ceremony on March 22, 2018, to acknowledge the contribution of employees. The employees were recognized for their productivity, liaison and communication skills, quality gains, and excellent performance.

Deepak Foundation conferred with NGO leadership Award

On September 27, 2018 , Deepak Foundation was bestowed with NGO Leadership Award at Gujarat Brand Leadership Awards 2018 for its valuable contribution towards the upliftment of society. The award was conferred in presence of Dr R.L. Bhatia, Founder of World CSR Day & World Sustainability at Radison Blu Hotel, Ahmedabad. The award ceremony witnessed the presence of various renowned corporates, educationalists, and NGOs.
